Recognized by the business community in 1996, Mr. Borgens was awarded the Small Business Person of the year award by the Chamber of Commerce and in 2006 received the Small Business Persons of the Year Award from the United States Small Business Administration Sacramento District Office. Mr. Borgens served in the United States Marine Corps and traveled extensively overseas. After receiving an honorable discharge he then worked for a private investigator while attending Executive Security International's Advanced Executive Protection program. Graduating at the top of his class he accepted a position with Gavin de Becker, Inc. and provided protective services for celebrities, public figures, entertainers and executives.
