Meals on Wheels San Francisco is committed to the belief that all seniors have the right to live independently with dignity and respect in their own homes for as long as it is safely possible. It is our mission to provide isolated homebound seniors in San Francisco with nutritious meals, daily friendly visitors, and supportive services to prevent their premature institutionalization. This year, Meals on Wheels will deliver more than 2 million meals to homebound seniors throughout San Francisco. In addition to meals and frequent visits from our drivers, our clients receive full support from our... social work team, our nutritionists, and an active base of volunteers who attempt to reduce isolation through friendly visits, helping with shopping and other chores.
