JD Attached* Driscoll Children's Hospital is seeking experienced Advanced Practice RN (CPNP-AC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) for our new program in CICU.. ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE (APNP-AC) PEDIATRIC CARDIAC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (CICU). EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Master’s or Post Master’s degree, required. Graduation from a Nurse Practitioners Program with practice authority in the State of Texas, required. Advanced Specialty Courses as required by DCH Credentialing obtained within time frame required and continuously maintained ongoing. Minimum of 2-3 years of pediatric critical care experience, required. BLS and PALS required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION Active and unencumbered nurse practitioner and registered nurse license in the State of Texas, required. Advanced specialty courses and ongoing education requirements as required by DCH. DCH Credentialing obtained within time frame required and continuously maintained ongoing. Must obtain DCH credentialing as an active member of medical staff and appropriate medical privileges, required. Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Pediatric Certification, required. PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA-C) PEDIATRIC CARDIAC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (CICU) EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Master’s or Post Master’s degree, required. Completion of an Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARCPA) approved program (prior to January 2001 - Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs), required. Minimum of 2-3 years of pediatric critical care experience, required. BLS and PALS, required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION: Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), Physician Assistant, Certified (PA-C), required. Active and unencumbered license in the State of Texas, required. Advanced specialty courses and ongoing education requirements as required by DCH. DCH Credentialing obtained within time frame required and continuously maintained ongoing. Must obtain DCH credentialing as an active member of medical staff and appropriate medical privileges, required. . Until all children are well.
