The purpose of these positions is to work directly under supervision of the Tobacco Control and Prevention Program (TCPP) staff to conduct compliance inspections at licensed tobacco retail outlets. Completion of these inspections is a requirement of the Tobacco Retail License per Multnomah County Code Chapter 21 to test compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to the sale of tobacco products to customers under 21 years old. This is an on-call position. As part of the Youth Inspections Staff you will: Work under supervision of staff to conduct unannounced compliance inspections at predetermined list of tobacco retail outlets. Follow protocols and policies of Youth Inspections. Document inspections results, cash handling, and evidence collection. Compile and collect inspections data for analysis and reporting.
