Department: 85306 Cabarrus College of Health Sciences - Academic Student Services Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm additional for events as needed Essential Functions Coordinates the Federal Student Financial Aid Program for the student population of Carolinas College of Health Sciences and Mercy School of Nursing. Disburses and awards student aid funds and applies all financial aid activity to the tuition account of each student. Aggressively orchestrates and adheres to the college's default management program in order to keep the college default rate at a minimum level. Completes annual report of funds awarded and requests funds for future award years. Utilizes federal electronic programs to process applications, obtain need analysis, and report payment information to the Department of Education. Provides entrance and exit loan counseling and monitors loan repayment. Maintains compliance with Title IV federal regulations and accreditation standards. Assists with the development of policies and procedures regarding operational needs of the college and the department. Participates in college committee structure and serves as chair of the scholarship committee. Physical Requirements Requires walking, standing, bending, sitting and the ability to lift up to 25lbs. Responsible for working in a safe manner. Education, Experience and Certifications Bachelor's Degree required. Strong communication skills both written and verbal necessary. Three years experience involving the processing of Title IV Federal Student Aid Programs with experience in on-line use of Title IV Programs preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and FxScholar preferred.
