KBR (formerly LinQuest) is the prime contractor on the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (MSEIT) contract. The MSEIT effort provides leading-edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the United States Space Force’s (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC). We acquire state-of-the-art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). Impactful Work: Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense Key Responsibilities: Design, plan, coordinate, execute testing and provide terminal operations support on the Family of Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T), Mission Planning Subsystem (MPSS), Air Force Command Post Terminal (AFCPT), Time Distribution Subsystem Pre-Processor (TDSPP), Milstar Messaging System (MMS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), Ground Multi-band Terminal (GMT), various other systems, subsystems and MILSATCOM devices Provide technician-level support for each of the above systems, including integration, communication circuit troubleshooting, and system-level anomaly resolution Identify and isolate software or hardware defects to evaluate/assess system modifications for shortfalls or interoperability issues and provide technical assessments to the client with regards to the modifications Author, peer-review, and deliver technical documentation including test plans, detailed test procedures, system configuration diagrams, engineering studies, technical white papers, and test reports Potential for travel approximately 10% Work Environment: Location: On-site Travel Requirements: Minimal Working Hours: Standard Qualifications: Required: Ability to attain and maintain a SECRET clearance Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or similar technical discipline Must be a motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning/improvement Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills Desired: International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certification (e.g., ASEP, CSEP, ESEP) Knowledge of DoD mission system sustainment Possess a SECRET clearance Basic Compensation: $80,000 - $101,000 in Colorado The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
