We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Education Case Manager to join their team and support the educational and developmental needs of students with special needs.
The Special Education Case Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities. This role requires a skilled professional with a strong understanding of special education laws and practices, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to advocating for the needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to special education.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, support staff, and external agencies to develop and implement effective strategies and accommodations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians regarding their child's IEP and progress.
- Facilitate IEP meetings, ensuring that all team members contribute to the development and review of the IEP.
- Assessment & Evaluation:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ needs and eligibility for special education services.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting IEPs as needed to meet changing needs.
- Support & Advocacy:
- Provide direct support and resources to students to help them achieve their educational goals.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of students with disabilities within the school community.
- Assist in developing and implementing professional development for staff on special education topics and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in special education or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, ADA, and other relevant special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and support staff.
- Experience with IEP development and case management.
