Overview Of Role
The Resource Manager plays a vital role in ensuring smooth project execution and optimal resource utilization within our consulting practice. This role is responsible for a variety of activities, including staffing projects, data management, process improvement, and maintaining utilization health.
Responsibilities
- Staff projects by analyzing requirements and working with the practice leaders to align the resources with the correct skills and experience.
- Maintain a deep understanding of consultant skill sets and experience to optimize project success and avoid overbooking.
- Clean and analyze resource data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in allocation and utilization.
- Generate reports and dashboards to visualize resource data and contribute to strategic discussions regarding resource planning.
- Collaborate with external agencies on new automations to improve resource management efficiency.
- Develop and maintain clear documentation for resource management procedures and identify new tools and technologies to streamline activities.
- Collaborate with Delivery Managers to ensure all active projects are staffed appropriately. Manage transition or additional resourcing requests as needed for project success.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to determine the hiring strategies and timing for new delivery resources based on the demand pipeline.
- 1-2 years of experience in resource planning or a related field.
- Proven ability to analyze data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with Salesforce is strongly preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related or equivalent work experience required.
