What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Coach position at 7 Summit Pathways?
The Recovery Coach will provide Peer Recovery Support Services acting as a mentor and guide for those in the program through the process of coaching. The recovery coach promotes recovery by helping remove barriers, connect to the recovery community, and engage in supportive services. Coaching offers a unique opportunity to build relationships of equality, trust and confidence in early recovery and through the completion of their program. They support the patient in mapping out a self-directed journey towards recovery. The Recovery Coach works in concert with the direct care team to support and service each patient.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
● Work with patients individually facilitating coaching sessions as well as performing case management functions.
● Have patients complete discharge planning workbooks and assist in all the different areas of need including recovery schedules in place for step down or discharge.
● Supports the Admissions function by providing tours of the facility, greeting guests and families of patients, and ensuring their needs are met upon arrival.
● Supports the Clinical and Nursing function by completing general case management tasks/needs. Communicate with the direct care team about needs, concerns, and overall progress of the patients.
● Ensures that guests are greeted with a positive attitude and a willingness to serve. As the first point of contact in the facility they serve as a brand ambassador.
● Ensure the facility is free of debris and clutter and maintains the work environment to be as attractive as possible.
● Assist patients with the step-down process and connecting them with testing applications for ongoing monitoring.
● Ensure patient handbooks and welcome bags are prepared and in the admission office for both levels of care.
● Use Teams to communicate effectively with all departments
● Assist with transport when needed to pick from airport or take patients on outings or to appointments.
● Assists with special projects,
● Able to react to change productively.
● Handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Work Environment for the position
- 7 Summit Pathways is 24 hours, 7 days a week operation. 7 Summit Pathways offers round-the-clock admission services to its clients. The work environment currently requires that the position must be able to work some on-call nights, weekend, and holiday times. As an at-will employer 7 Summit Pathways cannot guarantee any specific schedule.
Due to the nature of our client base a tolerance for stress is needed and an ability to adjust to potential rapid changes in the course of direction. The position is able to work productively in a sometimes high‐pressure, unpredictable, and stressful work environment, while still maintaining good communication and a positive, can-do attitude and approach to challenges.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
1. EDUCATION:
High School Diploma Preferred, advanced degree strongly preferred. Peer Support or Recovery Coach certification
2. EXPERIENCE:
1 years working in an administrative support role. Experience working with Patients or Clients in a Medical Setting strongly preferred. Familiarity with substance abuse and mental health.
