Building Name: Porter - Helen Porter Nursing Home Location Address: 30 Porter Drive, Middlebury Vermont Regular Department: Porter - HP Post Acute Unit Shift: Variable Salary Range: Min $32.30 Mid $40.64 Max $48.97 Recruiter: Kara Marszalkowski We are currently looking to fill the following Registered Nurse positions on our Post-Acute Unit: 12-hour Shifts Day/Eve Shift (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM): 72 hours per 2-week pay period Evening/Night Shift (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM): 72 hours per 2-week pay period 8-hour Shifts Day Shift (6:45 AM - 3:15 PM): 32 hours per 2-week pay period Day Shift (6:45 AM - 3:15 PM): 52 hours per 2-week pay period 4-hour Shifts Evening Shift (6:45 PM - 11:15 PM): 32 hours per 2-week pay period RNs with at least 1 year of experience are eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The bonus will be paid out in two installments: the first pay check and after completion of one year of satisfactory employment. Please note that current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus. We offer the following differentials on top of the hourly rate of pay: Per Diem: $2 per hour Evening $3 per hour Night $5 per hour Weekend $2 per hour (in addition to applicable shift differentials) Positions of 30 or more hours per week are eligible for FULL benefits including but not limited to: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life and Disability Insurance, 403(b) plan with employer contribution, and time-off plans. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required Experience: Previous long term care experience preferred but not required. The successful candidate will be empathetic and compassionate. Must be reliable and able to work well as a member of a team. Strong communication skills are needed along with the ability to follow through. Must have basic computer skills. Must possess a high aptitude for learning and patient care, and strong customer service skills. Specially-designed treatment programs provide patients with the preparation, support and education that enables them to return home as quickly as possible. Our goal is to help patients reach their highest possible level of independence. A partial list of conditions we work with includes strokes, neurological conditions, orthopedic care, respiratory conditions, and cardiac and post-trauma situations Routine Therapy services are provided Monday through Friday. We also have the capability of providing therapy six days a week if that is what is required to maximize positive results. Nursing staff provide the necessary extension of therapies when therapy staff are not present to provide direct service. This may include walking, exercises and supervision of other activities set up by the therapy staff. This is a bargaining union position. The University of Vermont Health Network/Porter Medical Center is located in the heart of beautiful Middlebury, Vermont. We are comprised of a 25-bed acute care facility, a 98-bed skilled nursing facility which includes a memory care unit, short-term rehabilitation unit and a long-term care unit, and a network of primary care and specialty medical practices throughout Addison county and the town of Brandon.
