Description
A.L. Hansen Mfg. Co., an ISO-9001 certified company, and leading manufacturer in the commercial hardware industry located in Waukegan, IL is looking for a Lead Warehouse Material Handler to join our growing team.
Primary purpose of job:
Move, store and space materials as directed. Train and supervisor warehouse and receiving material handlers and scale operators.
Requirements
Essential functions of job, frequency and percentage of time on the job:
1. Move material in and out of stock area for use in the assembly departments.
2. Process and print move tickets using pick lists.
3. Record work order numbers for pick slips processed.
4. Schedule and distribute workloads to warehouse and receiving material handlers to ensure that material is pulled and distributed to production on a timely basis.
5. Communicate with production if there are any changes to the schedule.
6. Move finish goods material from shipping to finish goods racks.
7. Train and supervise scale operators and warehouse material handlers.
8. Follow OSHA and Company safety standards.
9. Must wear personal protective equipment such as ear and eye protection.
10. Other duties as assigned
Required skills, licenses, knowledge, experience or abilities:
1. Reading and comprehension of all required warehouse paperwork.
2. Knowledge of inventory control process.
3. High level of attention to detail for proper documentation to maintain accurate inventory counts.
4. Must be able to obtain license for forklift.
5. Proficient with computers to reference inventory counts.
6. Ability to use and operate handcarts, pallet jacks and order pickers.
