The Industrial Fabricator/Welder, reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, is directly responsible for building pumps specific to Customer needs.
Will need to create sketched drawings or work from drawings to build the process equipment.
Knowledge of basic electrical and MIG welding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive new pump orders, determine building needs, list components, pull parts from stock, build equipment, test for effectiveness and document as required
- Create or interpret Design Sketches to finish product
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
- Weld riser blocks and other simple components to skids
- Use computer to look up Customers, research parts, diagram, schematic, and manuals online
- Help maintain a clean and safe shop
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Skills/Experience
Required:
- Outstanding, demonstrable mechanical aptitude
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Knowledge of electrical motors
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Welding experience- MIG
- Knowledge of metal working and metal fabrication
- Proven ability to successfully troubleshoot
- Valid driver’s license with a record that allows you to be covered by company insurance
- At least 3 years of fabrication experience
Preferred:
- Industrial pumping systems
- Experience with Machine tools (lathe, brake press)
- Welding knowledge - TIG
- Experience working at Customer sites
- Hydraulic equipment maintenance or repair experience
- Associates degree or trade school certificate in related field
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
- Ability to stand or walk most of the day
- Ability to twist and turn at least 25% of day
- Stoop and bend at least 25% of day
- Ability to reach above shoulders at least 25% of day
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements at least 50% of the day
- Forearm rotation at least 25%of the day
