The Role

As a Manager, you are analytical, entrepreneurial, and committed to excellence. Your best work is accomplished in a team environment, and you thrive on exciting challenges. You are a high-performer, self-starter, critical thinker with excellent communication and in-depth analytical skills. You will have the opportunity to make an impact by solving unique business challenges through both client and internal projects. In this role, you will support AArete's Healthcare Payer practice, driving projects to success and helping to manage a team.

Work You'll Do

• Proactively lead the team in understanding client needs and problems, driving forward initiatives to solve issues and accomplish goals according to specified timelines
• Lead analytical approaches, integrate multiple analyses, and develop a comprehensive understanding of client problems, identifying issues and opportunities to motivate client action.
• Work closely with Vice Presidents, Managing Directors, and Directors to set project strategy
• Collaborate with stakeholders and teammates to find creative solutions to business problems
• Create client communications, present analytic findings and recommendations, and field client questions with minimal support
• Draw upon healthcare knowledge, trends, and experiences to highlight relevant impacts for clients
• Gather and refine complex data sets and diverse data sources, including medical claims, pharmacy claims, and financial data sets, to enable accurate and robust quantitative analyses
• Lead teams and coach team members on client and internal projects
• Proactively work to create an energizing team environment
• Manage projects effectively by collaborating with both internal and client stakeholders
• Support implementation of client or internal solutions, including active involvement in internal solution development, from the ground up

Requirements

• 6 years of consulting experience
• 4 years of experience with the healthcare industry, specifically on the payer side
• Bachelor's degree required
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights
• Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong project/process management skills; ability to balance and prioritize competing responsibilities
• High self-motivation, accountability, and encouragement toward others
• Exceptional independent judgement and leadership skills
• Creative and innovative mindset
• Cultural flexibility/adaptability
• Direct client interaction, including possible travel to client location
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with AArete's other focus industries: Healthcare Providers, Financial Services, Education, Retail & Consumer, Transportation, Logistics, & Distribution, Public Sector, and Technology & Professional Services
• Proficiency with SQL
• Based in Chicago, IL and flexible to work from our Chicago office as needed
