Are you a 2024 college graduate or a rising college senior? AbelsonTaylor is looking for 6 Chicago area-based interns to join our 2024 Summer Internship Program, nextgenerATion.
Our internship program is designed to provide a fulfilling work environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and inclusiveness. You will work with professionals at every level and gain real-world experience, giving you an edge wherever your career takes you. You will have the opportunity to work alongside teams in different departments of the agency: Copy, Art, Dose/Production, Project Management, Social, Engagement, Media, Planning, and Data Science. You will also have the opportunity to work with fellow interns on a summer long project!
Art Director Intern
Art Directors are responsible for the visual style, design, and imagery of the concepts and campaigns we produce.
Who You Are
- A graduating senior (2024) or an undergraduate junior (graduating 2025)
- A motivated self-starter with a keen eye and deep appreciation for a wide range of design aesthetics
- A creative problem-solver, unafraid to use diverse visuals to tell a good story
- Curious about the world around you and about cross-media design and imagery in particular
- A champion of diversity and an inclusive culture, who uses cultural competence to propel agency and client business forward
What You'll Do
- Work closely with seasoned Art Directors to help develop and execute a range of materials across different media platforms
- Gain exposure to a range of projects, therapeutic areas, clients, and the behind-the-scenes decisions that influence careers and business
- Gain experience in various projects, client discussions, therapeutic areas, and behind-the-scenes decisions that influence business and help grow your career.
- Shadow the creative team of Copywriters and Art Directors throughout the concept-generating process and get an up-close view of how a campaign comes to life
- Collaborate with your fellow interns on a comprehensive, final project that you can feature in your portfolio
What You'll Need
- The ability to work independently and reliably on a hybrid schedule consisting of remote and weekly on-site visits to our Chicago office on Wednesdays!
