Are you a 2024 college graduate or rising college senior? AbelsonTaylor is looking for 6 Chicago area-based interns to join our 2024 Summer Internship Program, nextgenerATion.
Our internship program is designed to provide a fulfilling work environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and inclusiveness. You will work with professionals at every level and gain real-world experience, giving you an edge wherever your career takes you. You will have the opportunity to work alongside teams in different departments of the agency: Copy, Art, Dose/Production, Project Management, Social, Engagement, Media, Planning, and Data Science. You will also have the opportunity to work with fellow interns on a summer long project!
Copywriter Intern
Our Copywriters contribute the words and ideas that impact ad campaigns and drive business in big ways.
Who You Are
- A graduating senior (2024) or an undergraduate junior (graduating 2025)
- Curious about the world around you and about writing and advertising in particular
- Obsessed with the nitty gritty details, grammar, punctuation, and eager to learn new skills
- Passionate about effectively communicating scientific concepts in bold and memorable ways
- A champion of diversity and an inclusive culture who uses cultural competence to propel agency and client business forward
What You'll Do
- Work closely with seasoned Copywriters as they develop and execute a range of print and digital materials
- Gain exposure to a range of projects, therapeutic areas, clients, and the behind-the-scenes decisions that influence careers and business
- Shadow the creative team of Copywriters and Art Directors throughout the concept-generating process and get an up-close view of how a campaign comes to life
- Team up with Art Director intern and other Art Directors at the agency to generate compelling, creative concepts
- Learn how to translate complicated medical issues into powerful yet simple marketing messages
- Collaborate with your fellow interns on a comprehensive, final project that you can feature in your portfolio
- The ability to work independently and reliably on a hybrid schedule consisting of remote and weekly on-site visits to our Chicago office on Wednesdays!
