This fabrication position is responsible for preparation of agricultural parts as part of the fabrication process and possesses advanced skills in welding and CNC operations. The fabrication team works Monday through Thursday, yet offers flexibility to employees as the company encourages employees to have a work – life balance and attend family events.
Fabricator Responsibilities:
Programs, sets up and operates robotic welder.
Set up and operate the following machines; punch press, press brake, grinder, cutting torch, MIG (metal inert gas) welder and TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding, spot welder, hand brakes, band saw.
Position, align, fit, de-burr, and weld parts to form complete units or sub-units, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.
Determine reference points, machine cutting paths, or hole locations, and compute angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures.
Tack-weld fitted parts together.
Lay out and examine metal stick or work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.
Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes

Fabricator Requirements:
Two years fabrication or welding experience; specialized training or certification in TIG welding and/or CNC machine operation.
Prior mechanical or agriculture experience preferred.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, bend, stoop and/or reach. Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently.
Finger, hand, and wrist dexterity sufficient to manipulate hand tools, powered equipment.
