ABR Employment Services is seeking Entry Level Machine Operators for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift positions at a plastics manufacturer in Elkhart, IN. These are all semi-beginner positions with a base pay rate of $18.40 an hour.
Location: Elkhart, IN
Pay: 1st shift $18.40 / hr,
2nd shift $19.40 / hr,
3rd shift $19.90 / hr
Shifts: 1st - 6 AM – 2 PM
2nd - 2 PM – 10 PM
3rd - 10 PM – 6 AM

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50lbs of product. Under 10lbs continuously ,11-30lbs regularly and 31-50 lbs once or twice per shift..
Other Physical Requirements: Twist, bend, reach, stoop, climb, standing for long periods of time

Duties:
- Set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce parts to specification.
- Ensure maximum efficiency of set-up to include set-up time, materials, production rate and material consumption.
- Machine readiness – inspect machinery, equipment and tooling prior to set-up.
- Identify issues which adversely affect product requirements and communicate with appropriate department personnel for resolution.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
- Identify nonconforming materials/products and work with shift leader for resolution.
- Ensure part quality meets established standards.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Complete all shift documentation/paperwork.
- Shift hand-off – go over job status and updates with incoming shift.
- Participate in safety programs.
- Follow all established safety procedures.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Six (6) months manufacturing or related experience.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Experience operating manufacturing equipment.
- Organization and time management.
- Computer and software skills.
- Knowledge of quality control principles and Statistical Process Control,
