Acara Solutions is looking for a Accountant for our client located in Cape Canaveral, FL
- The accountant is responsible for monthly/ quarterly/ annual financial close cycles and reporting and analysis.
- They will work with manufacturing to develop and maintain effective budgets and costs associated with organizational operations.
- Monthly financial close JE's and close procedures and reconciliations
- Collecting and analysing data about the company's operational costs
- Developing and analysing job costs
- Performing account reconciliations of inventory and CIP projects
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Accountant
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's degree in accounting and finance
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in accountant in a manufacturing environment; space/aerospace industry.
- Proficient in QuickBooks, job costing software.
- ERP software experience.
- Job costing software selection and implementation experience.
- In depth knowledge of financial guidelines, regulations, GAAP.
- Experience in a publicly traded company
- Proficiency in Microsoft office including Teams, SharePoint and Excel
- Ability to perform data extraction and manipulation, analyse financial data, and generate reports.
- Ability to analyse variances to budgets/forecasts/accruals, explain to management, and create corrective action plan.
- Ability to work with numbers and complete assignments with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to manipulate, interpret and analyse data in Excel.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to oversee and balance multiple work assignments.
- Background in job order costing
- Effective decision making and problem solving.
- Excellent communication and highly collaborative
