Machinist III – Lake Charles, LA (4/10 Schedule)

This is a great opportunity to work with advanced machining technology in a clean, organized, and team-focused environment — all on a Monday–Thursday 4/10 schedule so you can enjoy three-day weekends!
As a Machinist III, you will set up and operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, and precision grinders to create complex, high-precision components. Your work will directly contribute to building advanced systems with exacting tolerances that meet rigorous engineering standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, and precision grinders to produce parts from a variety of metals.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, sketches, engineering specifications, and verbal instructions.
- Perform unique setups and machining operations for complex parts.
- Use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, indicators, and calipers to ensure quality.
- Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure correct dimensions, feeds, speeds, and setups.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Accurately complete all required documentation on time.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with 3-Axis CNC machines (experience with 4 & 5 Axis a plus).
- Skilled in running manual machines and performing setups.
- Proficiency with Mazatrol and Fanuc (HAAS) controllers preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, production specifications, and technical drawings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CAD/CAM experience with Mastercam.
- Experience with SolidWorks/NX Siemens.
- Advanced expertise with Fanuc Mill (HAAS) controls, including 5-axis simultaneous machining.
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:42 PM (4/10 schedule)
Per Diem: Available for candidates residing 50 miles from the worksite.
