Quality Engineer

Role and Responsibilities:

• Act as primary quality interface between plant and suppliers.
• Communicate quickly and clearly when Quality Concern Notifications (QCNs) are issued.
• Present issue resolution updates to plant management.
• Work with Incoming Quality team on investigations and quality concerns.
• Ensure timely return, quarantine, and certified stock verification.
• Handle disputes, support IQ and supplier meetings, and track issue resolution.
• Conduct surveillance audits and drive 8D closures from suppliers.
• Understand and manage part return processes, supplier certification, and assembly line quality.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: BS in Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience: 2–5 years in a related quality or manufacturing engineering role.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong communication, presentation, and organization skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Wiring harness engineering and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Problem-solving trained (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma, Shainin).
• Resilient and adaptable; multitasking across multiple projects.
• Team-oriented with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
