Job Title: Accessioner

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accessioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for aliquoting and preparing all samples post-blood draw, supporting phlebotomists, using and troubleshooting the centrifuge, and advising on the appropriate tubes for various tests.

Responsibilities

• Aliquot and prepare all samples once blood is drawn.
• Support phlebotomists on shift with samples post-blood draw.
• Use centrifuge to correctly process samples.
• Troubleshoot centrifuge instrument when issues arise.
• Support phlebotomists with any errors related to tube types and advise on appropriate tubes for different tests.

Essential Skills

• Phlebotomy experience.
• Experience with centrifuge operation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of different specimen tubes.
• Experience with aliquoting and sample preparation for blood samples.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment

This role is based in an oncology office where you will be standing at a desk for the majority of your shift. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to office physician operations while representing a larger lab and network. This is a Contract-to-Hire (CTH) opportunity.
