Job Title: Analytical Lab Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Analytical Lab Technician responsible for performing various lab tests and analyzing samples. The role involves maintaining accurate records and adhering to strict lab standards. The technician will prepare samples for analysis by weighing, diluting, and mixing according to established procedures, and will operate analytical instruments, mainly HPLC, to conduct analytical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform various lab tests and analyze samples.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to strict lab standards.
• Prepare samples for analysis by weighing, diluting, and mixing according to established procedures.
• Operate analytical instruments, primarily HPLC.
• Conduct analytical analysis.
• Perform wet chemistry tests including viscosity, titration, pH, etc.
• Work with scientists on developing analytical methods.
• Perform sample preparation and reference sample preparation.
• Prepare sample solutions for scientists.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Chemistry.
• Quality control experience.
• Laboratory testing experience.
• Knowledge of wet chemistry and analytical chemistry.
• Experience with lab testing and analytical instruments, particularly HPLC.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science (must have completed General Chemistry I and II with labs).
• Basic understanding of lab equipment.
• Preferably has lab experience outside of school.

Work Environment

The role will be based in a laboratory setting. This is a long-term contract position offering exposure to various tests and R&D projects. The candidate will work closely with scientists and other lab technicians.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
