Description:
SSC’s Kansas City office is looking for a qualified candidate to fill a CAD Designer position with the Architecture and Engineering (A&E) department. This candidate will be responsible for completing lease exhibits, zoning drawings, and construction drawings with an emphasis on Civil Design and Site Grading. Tasks include the following. Completing drawings based on client requirements, field sketches, photos, and internet map images. Peer review of other designers’ drawings as part of a quality control process. Address drawing comments based on redlines from clients, project managers, engineers, and other designer’s peer reviews. Keep files and materials in orderly manner, following SSC standards Be a TEAM player SSC offers site acquisition, entitlements, engineering, project management, and construction management to the telecommunications industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Ideally hold a certification in CAD Design or Associates in CAD Design. Is open to other backgrounds and disciplines, as long as they know it is an entry level drafter role. Proficient in AutoCAD General office skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Knowledge of Civil, Steel, or Electrical CAD design is a plus. Must be able to communicate effectively and problem solve.
