Description:
Role Description: A BIM Manager is a licensed or unlicensed professional experienced and responsible for the overall technical BIM support including design adaptation, construction documentation, modeling and creating customized content. The goal is to support the firm’s design goals and objectives. Key to the success of the BIM Manager is the ability to collaborate and communicate with Practice Area Leaders, Project Managers, design staff and consultants in developing a project vision while utilizing BIM technologies to increase office efficiencies and productivity to ensure profitable projects. This position plays an active role in implementing a companywide BIM strategy to evolve our digital design delivery.

A. Strategy
• Support the culture based on the foundation of the core values

B. Practice Area Development
• Have a profound sense of responsibility for the overall success of the firm
• Preserve an environment that encourages client satisfaction and recurring business opportunities
• Drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with the Practice Area Leader and Project Manager to continue to evolve the vision and design direction of the firm’s use of BIM technologies
• Keep current on BIM and CAD technology trends through review of periodicals and continuing education
C. Specific Focus (Day-to-Day)
• Maintain and enhance the firm’s reputation for high-quality design delivery
• Participate in the design effort on select projects for site planning, architectural design, and graphic design, as well as conceptualization and the development of formal solutions to support client and firm goals and objectives
• Assist in the development and implementation of BIM training / coaching & mentoring programs
• Mentor and develop others within the project design team
• Maintain and strive to improve quality control procedures as they relate to drawing production and establishing and monitoring the office Revit guidelines
• Build consensus with and inspire team members to optimize project performance through a positive and innovative design approach
• Assist in the development and implementation of companywide BIM/CAD standards and procedures
• Maintain all BIM/CAD templates and detail libraries
• Create BIM/CAD families in response to project needs
• Provide design support to project team members, which may include computer modeling and renderings
• Assist in preparation of drawings for schematic design thru construction drawings
• Ensure design details and materials comply with regulatory, code, and client requirements
• Monitor project delivery to ensure compliance with the agreed upon strategy, standards and work processes
• Coordinate drawings with consultants, as required
• Assure project files and reporting is maintained
D. Finance /Risk Management
• Understand the project performance and financial performance metrics
Requirements:
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
• 5 years of BIM/CAD design and workflow (start to finish) experience
• In-depth knowledge of BIM/CAD and related software
• Proven presentation skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
