Job Title: Cardiac Rehabilitation Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiac Rehabilitation Registered Nurse to monitor patients, chart vital information, and assist with patient education and exercise machine operation. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in patient care by reading heart monitors, documenting results, and implementing patient care plans.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vitals, blood pressure, and oxygen levels.
• Read heart monitors and chart results accurately.
• Write and implement care plans for patients.
• Educate patients on their care plans and the use of exercise machines.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in cardiology, basic life support (BLS), and rehabilitation techniques.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as ecw.
• Expertise in EKG reading and interpretation.
• Registered Nurse licensure in Missouri.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to cardiac care.
• Ability to recognize dysrhythmias and understand the pathophysiology of cardiovascular diseases.
• Competence in cardiovascular and pulmonary assessments.
• Basic and clinical exercise physiology knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a BSN or equivalent.
• Experience in educational planning and patient teaching.
• Holistic view of patient education.
• Experience and skills in working with older adults.
• Minimum of 1-year experience in ICU, CCU, or other critical care nursing.
• Minimum of 1-year experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation is preferred.

Work Environment

The position operates on a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule from 7am to 5pm, ensuring a full 40-hour workweek. The nurse may assist with up to four patients per hour, working closely with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care. The role involves using advanced medical equipment and requires a commitment to patient education and rehabilitation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00
