Job Description
We’re looking for a motivated Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our transportation team and support plan review activities. This role is ideal for someone early in their engineering career who enjoys digging into design details, collaborating with others, and making sure transportation projects meet all the right standards.
Responsibilities
- Review engineering plans and drawings for roadway, bridge, and traffic projects.
- Check for compliance with local, state, and federal transportation standards.
- Identify inconsistencies, missing details, or potential design issues.
- Prepare review comments and documentation for internal and external teams.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, planners, and project managers to clarify design intent.
- Stay up to date on relevant codes and guidelines (e.g., AASHTO, MUTCD, DOT standards).
- Assist in tracking revisions and ensuring updates are made before final approval.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
- EIT certification required or in progress.
- Familiarity with transportation design standards and plan review processes.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Memphis, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $72000.00/yr.
