Job Title: Civil Site Project Engineer

Job Description

We are looking to hire a Civil Site Project Engineer with 2-4 years of experience. This role involves civil engineering design including site layout, grading and drainage, erosion control, stormwater management, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and utility design. The ideal candidate will work closely with Project Managers and other staff on a variety of project types including schools, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, parking garages, and multi-family housing. The candidate will also prepare construction documents, write technical reports, and provide engineering support during construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering design including site layout, grading, and drainage
• Work on erosion control, stormwater management, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and utility design
• Collaborate with Project Managers and other staff on various projects including schools, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, parking garages, and multi-family housing
• Prepare construction documents including engineering drawings and specifications
• Write technical reports
• Provide engineering support during construction
• Prepare hydraulic calculations and drainage reports
• Prepare construction bid documents

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or related discipline
• 2-4 years of experience in site development, stormwater, or water/wastewater engineering
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D in a professional setting
• Proficiency in drainage design and hydraulic calculations

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Professional experience with drainage design and hydraulics calculations
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification
• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering exam or scheduling to take the exam in the near future

Work Environment

This is a typical engineering consulting firm environment with cubicles. The atmosphere is somewhat quiet, not loud or super outgoing. The team is easy-going and values character and personality over experience. The company offers a lot of variety in project types (industrial, commercial, education), stability, and very low turnover. Work hours are Monday - Friday, 8AM to 5PM, with flexible scheduling options (7AM to 3PM). Core hours are 9AM-3PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00
