Description:
Construction Materials Tester Opportunity for an individual looking for a career oriented role. Actalent's Client is looking for someone without inspection experience that would like to learn and has reliable transportation to get to sites.
MUST HAVES:
- Some experience with general construction, soil testing/sampling, construction inspection or construction materials testing
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- High School diploma or equivalent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Routine quality control test procedures including concrete and nuclear moisture / density testing
- Becoming familiar with reading and understanding applicable construction plans and specifications
- Preparation and submission of daily reports
- Interact with clients, contractors, and other design professionals
- Attendance at job site related meetings
- performance of testing in our soils and construction materials testing laboratories (if required)
- Opportunity for continuing education and role-specific certification
- Testing and sampling of concrete, grout and mortar
