What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drafter position at Actalent?
Description:
Each week, Engineering Fielders are assigned a set of poles to survey within a geographic region. Will be out in field with an iPad and a survey. They will use GIS to locate poles. They will be filling out the survey based on the integrity of the pole. Responsible for collecting detailed technical information about electric utility facilities and equipment. It is an outdoor position that requires hiking between spans of utility poles to capture data that supports outside plant engineering and various fiber-optic construction projects. Work in an outdoor environment to collect field data that supports the engineering and design of fiber optic cable facilities. This will include measurements of attachment heights, span distances, angles, etc... Submit organized, detailed data for each project that could include maps, field notes and digital images. Operate and maintain equipment that would include tablet computer, digital camera, measuring tools and Personal Protective Equipment. Work independently of direct supervision while coordinating with their supervisor to plan routes for a productive week.
