Job Title: Drafter

Job Description

Under general supervision, the Drafter develops major layout and engineering drawings for complex components and assemblies, including schematics, interconnect lists, parts breakdown, and more. Utilizing CAD hardware and software, the Drafter creates and modifies detailed drawings from sketches, layouts, or notes provided by engineering. They also contribute design modifications to improve manufacturing operations or product quality, check drawing plots for correctness, and work with engineers on model accuracy, design standards, and documentation. Additionally, the Drafter may provide leadership to junior drafters and manage system files including maintenance, backup, and storage.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and some days remote.

Work Environment

The Drafter will work in a cubicle located on the second floor. Occasional visits to the production floor are required when products are being built on-site.
