Job Title: Electrical Designer

Job Description

We are a growing Consulting Engineering firm located in Charlotte, NC, fully committed to sustainable design. We are currently seeking a talented Electrical Designer with consulting engineering experience. The role involves responsibility for schematic design through construction administration for a variety of projects including offices, retail, condominiums, industrial, and multifamily residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives.
• Design electrical power distribution circuiting.
• Design lighting and lighting controls.
• Design emergency systems.
• Design fire alarm systems.
• Manage power distribution systems design.
• Create and review plans and specifications for various projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure the application of sound professional judgment.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in power, lighting, fire alarm, data, and telecommunication building systems design.
• Strong AutoCAD skills including ACAD.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent report writing ability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of Revit is a plus.
• Experience with multi-family and commercial power and lighting design.
• Understanding of NEC codes, load calculation, inventory, order entry, administrative support, and purchasing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00

PTO, Health benefits, 401k, hybrid work days, half days Friday, this is a salaried, full-time in-office position, 40-hours per week

This is a fully onsite position in Charlotte,NC.
