Job Title: Electrical Test Engineer

Job Description

This position is responsible for performing electrical testing and evaluation on a variety of products according to U.S., Canadian, and other international product safety standards. The role involves writing reports and communicating with clients, particularly focusing on testing computer servers.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct evaluations of products to determine compliance with applicable standards.
• Read and determine the applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the equipment under test (EUT).
• Read and understand schematics and manufacturing instructions.
• Validate the project scope and sample applicability.
• Identify and locate test instruments and equipment required for testing under the project scope.
• Follow established test plans.
• Set up and operate EUT; perform and document simple repairs on EUT as needed.
• Conduct thorough construction reviews and document results.
• Perform testing of products in accordance with standards. Core tests include radiated emissions, conducted emissions, electrostatic discharge, radiated immunity, and conducted immunity.

Essential Skills

• Experience in electrical testing and evaluation.
• Background in electronics.
• Ability to use hand tools and experience in testing/troubleshooting.
• Experience in document control, test plans, and mechanical testing.
• Familiarity with test equipment and electronics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• Background in electrical, mechanical, or technology fields.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a testing lab and chamber. The facility operates 24/7, and schedules are based on the candidate's availability. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $38.00
