What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer position at Actalent?
An award-winning architecture and engineering firm is looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their team!
Job Description:
- Coordinate with other disciplines and work in a team environment
- Conduct field investigations when needed, produce field reports with detailed sketches
- Perform duties with multiple projects within the established schedules and budgets
- Work on a wide variety of project types, scales and complexity
- Will work on projects in heavy industry, metals, chemical/petrochemical or environmental projects:
- Breaker and starter sizing
- Conduit and cable sizing
- 2-D orthographic design drawing development
- Single line and network diagram development
- Meeting with Clients
- Electrical systems installation review during construction for general compliance with construction documents
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Five (5) or more years relevant work experience in the industrial sector
- Professional Engineer (PE) Registration preferred, but not required
- Working knowledge of NEC, IEC, ISA & IEEE design complying with industry standards is a plus
- AutoCAD and/or Revit skills preferred, but not mandatory; Arc-flash study experience a plus
- Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites
