What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics Technician position at Actalent?
Overview:
We are currently hiring 2 Combat System Technicians for our client. Former Electronics Technicians (ET's) with comms experience are desired for these openings. *Individuals have the option of supporting work in Norfolk, VA (Hampton Roads) or in Dahlgren, VA.
Description:
- Conduct Ship checks to document existing compartment arrangements and configurations.
- Provide Development and Modification of Drawing Products.
- Develop Contract Guidance Drawings which includes room arrangements and system block diagrams.
- Perform reviews of SIDS, ICDS, SCDs, and AWPs.
- Provide Technical resolution to identified ship system issues.
- Provide Recommendations to resolve configuration issues and deficiencies.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience as an ET in the Navy dealing with comms equipment.
- Specific experience in comms equipment such as:
- VHF
- UHF
- Satcom
- HF
- Radios
- Transceivers, transmitters, receivers and antenna tuning units (ATUs).
- Etc..
- An active Secret Clearance.
Additional Information:
- 2 openings available:
- One is requiring a minimum of 4-6 years of experience.
- One is requiring a minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Pay Rate is based on experience.
- Hybrid work schedule: 2-3 days onsite depending on the week.
- If living in Hampton Roads, can support work in Hampton Roads.
- If closer to Dahlgren, VA will support work there.
- 2 step interview process.
