What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry-Level Lab Technician position at Actalent?
We are currently hiring for multiple Entry-Level Lab Technician openings in the Columbus, Ohio area! Most of these are long-term, career opportunities performing either Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or other related laboratory testing depending on your background. Candidates must have a degree in a scientific or related field. Some examples may include: Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Molecular Genetics, or other related degrees. Scientific/lab experience may be used in substitute of a completed degree for some roles. General examples of duties are outlined below, but specifics will vary.
Job Duties:
- Will conduct tests in the laboratory for research, quality control, or routine testing purposes. Specific testing and instrumentation used will depend on the specific lab and your experience. Some openings may vary and incorporate various different techniques.
- May design and execute experiments, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Follows work instructions, SOPs and company practices.
- Documents results accurately.
- Follows written analytical procedures. Identifies execution challenges of analytical methods and support trouble shooting activities.
- Experience with various types of lab equipment preferred.
- Duties may vary based on the specific role.
