What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Test Technician position at Actalent?
Entry-level Environmental Technician opening. Field-based position with regional travel required. Available immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Perform air emissions testing and monitoring for a variety of industrial clients
- Transport equipment to site using company vehicle, set up and break down of testing equipment
- Record data, collect samples
- Equipment calibrations
- Assist engineers in air quality testing procedures
- Environmental, health and safety protocols
- Organize and load testing equipment into vehicles for upcoming jobs
- Maintenance and cleaning of testing equipment
- Using company resources, gain proficiency in performing EPA Test Methods 1-5
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Environmental Science or related field of study preferred
- Previous experience working in a field-based capacity
- Previous experience using testing instruments to collect samples and record data
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work well in team settings
- Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs to set up testing equipment
Additional Information & Compensation:
- 1.5x Overtime | $52 Per Diem
- Employees typically earn $50,000 to $55,000 with overtime their first year at the company.
