What are the responsibilities and job description for the Formulation Chemist position at Actalent?
Seeking 1 Formulation Chemist
Onsite in Brookfield, WI
Description:
Develop chemical formulas for rubber, foam, plastic, epoxies, coatings, etc.
Perform all application testing and QC tests to ensure product meets customer specifications
Operate application testing equipment such as universal testers (ASTM 412, 638, 624, etc.), weatherometer, dispersers, viscometers, durometers, etc. to ensure product meets specifications
Work with production team to scale up the production of the new or specific formula
Assist Technical Support groups with customer issues that arise and figure out the solution to the issue
Fill out technical data sheets to ensure all technical information on the formula, it's production process, the QC checks/tests needed, etc.
Manage multiple projects on a weekly basis including developing the formula, perform all testing applications
