What are the responsibilities and job description for the GNC Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
- Develop algorithms for rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking (RPOD) of a body in a space environment.
- Evaluate and improve the performance of currently used RPO activities with different types of imagery inputs to the algorithms. This will be developed using simulated imagery and other inputs for pose estimation.
- Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to design, develop, and successfully deliver products and services (as required).
- Collaborate in planning and execution of software-and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
- Apply technical knowledge to analyze, investigate, and resolve engineering problems.
- Collaborate with customer and supplier staff
