Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Assistant I to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse lab setting. This position requires someone who can efficiently manage lab specimens and perform various administrative tasks while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Retrieve specimens for laboratory technicians.
• Perform tasks involving freezer work.
• Handle accessioning of specimens.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous medical/lab or production experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Comfortability with handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turn-around times.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous lab experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with sorting and sample preparation.
• Experience with accessioning.

Work Environment

This position is located in a warehouse lab setting. The work schedule is from 1 AM to 9:30 AM, Tuesday through Saturday, on the 3rd shift. Candidates must be comfortable with these hours and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Southaven, MS.

The pay range for this position is $19.88 - $19.88/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Southaven,MS.
