Description:
The lab technician will support the GeMS (Genomics and Molecular Sciences) Business Unit . This involves preparing animal and livestock samples for genetic testing. They will prep samples for testing for livestock and genetics analysis.
- Review testing plan for incoming samples and prepare them to be tested on 96 well sample plates within the animal lab.
- Titrate, pipette, make media, buffers, and reagents with high attention to detail.
- Harvest tissues, extract DNA or cells, and prepare for analysis in Genotyping and Gene Sequencing
- Perform qPCR and ELISA testing

- BA/BS in a Technical discipline
- Basic laboratory experience from coursework or work experience.
