Job Description
Shift: Monday - Friday / 1PM - 9:30PM
A leading manufacturer of Condiments in Fort Worth, TX, who manufacturers various condiments that include, oil, butter, hot sauce, mayonnaise and other specialty sauces. Under general supervision this person will be performing a variety of laboratory tests and other laboratory work to help provide top quality and safe products that meet customer requirements and specifications.
- Auditing, verification, and follow up on process controls such as weight checks, batch sheets, FSMA plant inspections, receiving, etc.
- Responsible for following all Food Safety policies, procedures and regulatory criterion including the current SQF code, GMP, and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)
- Conduct all post cleaning inspections
- Learn operate, calibrate and maintain lab equipment
- Salt and acid titrations, pH, Color, Viscosity, Sensory
-Weighing samples for retains Data collection
-Testing for Oils group - peroxide value (PV), titrations, FFA, Fat, Moisture, Color
Skills:
Associates or Bachelors of Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology) *NEW GRADS WELCOMED*
Lab testing experience with raw materials from school or work - MUST be familiar with pH, viscosity and titrations, HPLC, weighing samples
Excellent computer and math skills - including Excel and Word knowledge
Minimum 1 year experience of QA/QC experience OR 1 year of work experience in a fast paced roles
