What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician position at Actalent?
Actalent is currently hiring a Lab Tech in the New Iberia, Louisiana area!
Job description and responsibilities:
- Pulling samples to conduct testing and inspection or conducting testing and inspections of products as they finish production
- Preparing chemical solutions according to formulas, running daily samples and testing those samples
- Chlorine monitoring
- Daily Grading of Salt Stock Piles
- Sample inspection
- Documenting and data entry
- Chemical analysis
- Wet Chemistry
- Purity mixing
- Partnering with other lab technicians on shift
- Conducting quality control inspection of products
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of working in an industrial laboratory setting
- Ability to carry heavy sample product bags throughout the lab
- Experience conducting quality control inspection of products from a production line
- Experience in preparation of chemical solutions according to formulas, running daily samples and testing those samples
Additional Information:
- Tuesday to Sunday second shift opportunity
- Pay rate of $18 to $20 hourly based on experience
