Job Title: Laboratory Assistant

Job Description

Once received at lab, unbox, sort, and ensure the quality of specimens. Process incoming laboratory specimens and handle labeling and relabeling tasks. This is a very heavy processing role! You will not be responsible for any specimen testing.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• 3-6 months recent experience working with medical specimens (lab, lab processor, processor in a plasma center)
• Familiarity with basic lab practices
• Strong communication skills

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in San Antonio, Texas.

Work Environment

You will be working in the General Processing Laboratory. This is a contract-only position with the possibility of extension. The schedule is Tuesday - Saturday, 9:30am - 6pm. The work culture is that of a medical lab with biology-based backgrounds, maintaining a sterile and clean environment. The dress code requires solid colored scrubs and closed-toe shoes.
