Job Title: Landfill Gas Technician

Job Description

We are hiring for a landfill gas technician with 1 years of experience in reading and tuning the wellfield. This skilled and certified specialist will be responsible for traveling within the area for 1-3 landfills as well as supporting partner sites with routine and non-routine maintenance. In addition to tuning the wellfield, the candidate should be comfortable and skilled in pump maintenance (pulling, cleaning/service, and replacement). The role also involves working extensively with SEMs and probes, which includes a significant amount of walking across the landfills. We will provide a work truck and per diem for any overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a 4 hour radius area for up to 3 landfills and support partner sites with O & M.
• Tune the wellfield and perform routine and non-routine maintenance.
• Conduct pump maintenance including pulling, cleaning/service, and replacement.
• Work extensively with SEMs and probes, involving significant walking.
• Collect and migrate data related to landfill gas.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.

Essential Skills

• 1 years of experience in landfill gas reading and tuning.
• Experience with SEMs and probes.
• Environmental engineering expertise.
• Experience in data collection and environmental testing.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in using reading software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• ISCO pipe fusion certification is a plus.
• 40 HR HAZWOPER or 8 HR Refresher is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and willing to submit to a MVR.

Work Environment

The work environment includes landfills (within a 4 hour radius) with a GCCS methane system leading to a gas-to-energy plant. The role requires a significant amount of walking and traveling locally. The company offers a culture of professionalism and security, leading to very low turnover within the region. Benefits include windshield drive time over 1 hour from home, Per Diem at $55/day for overnight travel if it arises, and competitive pay rates. You will receive a company truck and gas card.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
