Description:
Our client is a full service civil engineering firm based out of Burtonsville, Md. They are looking to add staff to their landscape architecture/planning team. The candidate will be responsible for working on a wide range of large and small projects including residential, mixed use, commercial and institutional. The position includes direct mentorship of junior staff and working with staff to develop design drawings. Environmental assessments of sites and preparation of these plans for approval by the agencies would also be required. The position would include regular meetings with the clients and agencies and an understanding of development design, and the review and approval processes within the various local agencies is desired.
We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 2-5 years experience as a landscape architect and has experience in both the artistic side of landscape architecture (renderings, preliminary concept plans, things that require creative flair and graphic representations) as well as the production side of things (engineering, site plans, development plans, landscape plans, etc.).
They are looking to hire two landscape architects, one to be a staff level landscape architect that can have the opportunity to grow into an associate level role; and one that is a designer (a degreed landscape architect who is more junior level and can focus on production).
These are office positions working on land development projects at various stages in the development lifecycle - depending on the level will have client interaction as well. Projects are located in Howard County, Montgomery County, and Prince George's County jurisdictions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field and a minimum of 5 years experience for the more senior level position and 2 years of experience for the junior level.
