What are the responsibilities and job description for the Launch Engineer position at Actalent?
Actalent is seeking a Launch Engineer in the Chattanooga, TN area. This role is working in an automotive environment.
Responsibilities:
· Organize regular project meetings
· Invite all necessary departments/groups to project meetings, organize kick-off and regular follow up meetings including Lessons Learned workshops and Problem Escalation Meetings
· Support the Project Team with problem escalation meetings to ensure that the project can be launched in time
· Provide status updates and present the status in project meetings
· Generate and distribute reports and necessary templates for reporting and escalation meetings
· Align statements for project changes and deviations with various departments
· Special focus on Software release status and communicate plant demand, escalate if necessary, and push for a solution
· Align technical solutions within the Project Team – communicate risk assessments and possibilities for continuing inside the projects
· Generate and distribute EE status reports on a regular basis
· Present project reports in project meetings
· Participation in working groups for product and process improvements
· Escalate topics in a proper manner when they are not solved in an appropriate time
Requirements:
· BS in Electrical Engineering or similar field (preferred)
· Experience managing automotive projects
· Team leading and presentation skills
· Experience in vehicle electric and electronics
· Vehicle software knowledge
· Experienced in Microsoft office
