Hiring an LPN in New Haven, CT

Job Description:

The LPN is an integral part of the clinical team primarily responsible for providing safe, evidence-based care for our patients, exceptional support, and the ability to anticipate the needs of both the clinicians and the patients. Daily duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide superior patient care in the Dermatology practice.
• Obtain and assess vital signs, patient history, medications and other pertinent demographic information and log all data into records.
• Check refrigerators for temps, keep logs up to date.
• Present patient analysis to physicians using concise and accurate verbal communication.
• Assure all procedures for maintaining patient confidentiality are maintained per HIPAA guidelines.
• Prepare patients for clinic visits, greet and escort patient into exam rooms.
• Set up for surgical procedures and maintain an efficient flow.
• Assist surgeon during surgical procedures using clean and sterile techniques.
• Communicate the need for follow-up appointments to patients, family members and staff. Ensure all follow-up care is accurate and complete.
• Receive patient phone calls. Triage phone calls according to practice policies. Ensure timely response and loop closure.
• Provide patient instructions.
• Pre-fill Lido/Epi for overflow, labeled and dated.
• Provide date, time and patient info on all consent forms.
• Report directly to Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse

Qualifications:

• LPN License in state of CT
• Attendance & Reliability
• EPIC experience
• Medical office experience (1-2 years)

Work Environment:

Schedule: Monday-Friday, open availability from 8:30 to 5 pm
