Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an outstanding manufacturing engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. You will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical design and related analysis specifically for flight-critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production-level designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.
• Perform related analysis for mechanical and electronic systems.
• Integrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems.
• Utilize Computer Aided Design tools such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics.
• Implement process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support both development and production programs.
• Write technical documentation including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and test plans.
• Handle and track systems for continuous material flow to manufacturing lines.
• Perform functional and environmental testing such as thermal, acoustic, or vibration testing.

Essential Skills

• 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience with integrating, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems.
• 1 year of experience with Computer Aided Design tools such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience from internships or college organizations related to the field.
• Technical writing experience for work instructions, standard operating procedures, and test plans.
• Experience with various automated manufacturing processes, including assembly and test methods.
• Familiarity with QTP/ATP, functional testing, and environmental testing such as thermal, acoustic, or vibe.
• Formal training or certification in Operational Excellence Systems (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma).
• Strong organizational, analytical, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Work Environment

This position is located onsite in Redmond. You will be working in a dynamic environment focused on building a satellite constellation.
