Mechanical Engineer
Actalent is seeking to hire a Mechanical Engineer in Portland, OR, where you'll develop innovative solutions and support existing test systems. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on tackling complex challenges and working in a collaborative environment.
Location: Portland, OR
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development: Create and modify designs, documentation, and production support for mechanical interfaces and components used in multi-rack automated test stations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with a diverse team to solve production and field testing problems, including initial design, prototyping, and environmental testing.
- Product Design & Analysis: Develop and review product designs, perform tolerance analysis, and ensure designs meet development requirements.
- Test Fixtures & Documentation: Design test fixtures, cables, interconnects, and prepare associated documentation.
- Project Management: Plan and manage tasks effectively, present technical information to peers, management, and customers.
- Environmental Considerations: Address enclosure structural design, thermal, vibration, and other environmental factors, from design verification to production transition.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Team Player: Ability to excel in a team environment, interacting with mechanical engineers, drafters, electrical engineers, software engineers, and system engineers.
- Software Proficiency: Excellent working knowledge of SolidWorks, NX Designer, and AutoCAD or similar design tools.
- Mechanical Design & Analysis: Capable of performing mechanical design and analysis to meet system requirements.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $75.00
