What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Engineer position at Actalent?
We have an exciting opportunity for an engineer with a rapidly growing organization!!
The Process Engineer will be responsible for coming up with and applying new unique engineering methods and procedures, plan/conduct/direct engineering projects, design and develop equipment as needed, assist in the development of tooling, make changes in methods and designs (when necessary), review and evaluate results and will be working on a variety of engineering work in planning, improving and design of equipment parts. They will be required to use current quality control methods and to participate in team projects and comply with the following OSHA Safety Standards.
Day to day responsibilities:
-Assists Project Managers for new programs. Monitor program milestones, track and report tooling & capital spending if needed, coordinate launch meetings, maintain minutes, maintain open issues lists, represent HLI at customer launch meetings, support customer needs and expectations
-Shared responsibility for Advance Quality Planning (AQP) processes
-Develop and Optimize casting processes; develop specific processes / parameters to meet customer and HLI requirements, document parameters, develop procedures
-Continuous Improvement - Lead and/or participate on teams, provide engineering support
-Problem Solving - Implement quality and productivity improvements using basic and advanced problem solving methodology, document sample plans & results, maintain a current status of programs an identify corrective actions to be taken
-Plant Policies and Procedures - Follow all plant policies and procedures, keep Safety in mind and convey the importance of safety to others
-Cost savings - Evaluate product flow and processes for best use of materials and equipment to achieve best utilization of resources
-TS-16949 - Maintain compliance to TS-16949 standards during product development and daily manufacturing
Qualifications:
- Experience working as Process Engineer in Manufacturing
- Experience developing and implementing processes
- 3D CAD
- GD&T
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- AutoCAD experience
- Six sigma
